Recognition: Spikelets very lopsided. Inflorescence to 30 cm long. Leaf blades > 6 mm wide. Inflorescence to 30 cm long and 7-31 mm wide. Spikelets usually > 3 mm long. Palea as long as lemma. Lower glume < 1 mm.
