Habitat: Weedy, disturbed places

Florida status: Historically an important forage grass, perennial ryegrass is used in Florida for overseeding turf and may turn up occasionally in disturbed sites. It is uncommon to be growing uncultivated in South Florida, where the summer temperatures are probably too hot.
