Florida status: Native, abundant

Recognition: Plants often slender with fine racemes scattered longitudinally along the stem. Ligules 0.2-1 mm. Leaves to 5 mm wide. Sessile spikelet (3.0) 3.5-3.8 mm long. Lower glume with the keels scabrous strictly above the middle.
