Florida status: Native, apparently uncommon in our area
Recognition: Small (usually < 1 m tall). Leaf blades pubescent, 2-5.5 mm wide. Rames not or scarcely exserted, on short peduncles. Sessile spikelet 4.1-4.5 mm (longer than in A. virginicus or A. glomeratus).
